Every time some of my teachers are handing back homework or tests, they lick their fingers before they pick our paper off the top of the pile and hand it to us. Comment: Do students take tests at every grade as they work through courses? This allows teachers to understand the major gaps students might have in their learning before they’re in front of the classroom. Why do they do that?
Would you follow what they do and want to do as much homework as they wanted or would you not go down that and just be one of those normal everyday people.
If all teachers shifted from content-obsessed to skill-focused education, tests would become a useful way to practice skills, not a way to check facts. Do they take quizzes?
They assume they will get a better grade themselves and this will lead to negative consequences. Changes in the skills base and knowledge our students need require new learning goals; these new learning goals change the relationship between assessment and instruction.
There are some students that are going to assume that if they give a better grade for their teacher they will fall into favor with the teacher.
I absolutely have no idea why educational institutions use tests to presumably measure student learning. Do they get a grade for taking all those quizzes and tests? Relevance. Is the grade of any value?
I have taught undergraduate and graduate level college, gifted elementary students, … Students grade higher with hopes they will get better grades . Haven't they proven that they have mastered the content of the subject already?

Since the goal of formative assessment is to give teachers an understanding of what students know, or don’t know, and use this information to make responsive changes in teaching and learning, strategies such as classroom discussion and teacher observation have an important place alongside analysis of tests and homework (Spendlove, 2009). Don't they know that's disgusting and unsanitary? I do not give tests. The more you’re led to focus on what you’re going to have to know for a test, the less likely you are to plunge into a story or engage fully with the design of a project or experiment.
They must be able to think critically, to analyze, and to make inferences. Well if children just had homework to do they wouldn 't even be able to do what they want to do out of school such as spend quality time with their loved ones or participate in extracurricular activities.
