Stichting Wageningen Research (WR) is one of the two legal entities of Wageningen University & Research (WUR) together with the Wageningen University. Publications authored by the staff of the Research Institutes are available from 1995 onwards. In May 2014 the European Commission announced that Wageningen UR successfully accomplished Step 4 of the HRS4R mechanism, and thereby retained the HR logo. Many environmental issues require a broad, international approach. According to the evaluation report, this is a based on Wageningen’s combination of excellent research and education. The exchange of expertise and capacity and the match between fundamental and practical research in various projects give us a scientific advantage.
